Burbank, California – A king has been added to the Disney Legends list. The late “Black Panther” star Chadwick Boseman will be honored at the D23 Expo.
Others on the elite list this year: four talented musical actors from the “Frozen” series, Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff.
Also honored: “Grey’s Anatomy” actress and producer Ellen Pompeo, along with her original “Grey’s” cast and TV husband Patrick Dempsey. Among the Disney Legends of 2022, another couple on TV are brothers Tracy Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson.
Rounding out the list: Robst Coltrane, Robert Price “Bob” Foster, Don Hahn, Doris Hardon and Chris Montan.
The Disney Legends Award is given to individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to Disney’s legacy. The Disney Legends Awards program began in 1987 with Fred McMurray becoming the first Disney Legend. Including this year’s honorees, 304 Disney Legends have been named.
All of the legends will be honored at a party hosted by Tamron Hall at next month’s D-23 Expo in Anaheim.
